At Hope Chapel, we are supported by gifts, offerings, tithes, and donations as a non-profit organization. Followers of Christ recognize that the Bible teaches us a baseline standard for giving: the tithe. We are to honor God with the “first fruits” of our labor (Proverbs 3:9). When we give the first 10% of our income to the church, we put God first in our lives. And God responds by giving back to us His blessings. We can’t out give God (Malachi 3:10-11). Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude and faith in God as well as our love for others. Your giving allows Hope Chapel to continue to reach people far from God. Not only that, but it shows that you understand the value of stewardship (faithful management of what God gives you) and offering back to God what He has blessed you with.
3 Ways to Give
Give online through SecureGive. Give using your card or checking account. A small transfer and transaction fee (typically around 2%) comes out of your donation using a card. Refer to the FAQ below for more info.
Give in person during a Sunday morning service at 9 or 10:30 AM with check or cash. 100% of your donation supports the ministries at Hope. Plus, you experience worship and fellowship by being here in person.
By mail or bill pay
To give by mail or as an e-check through your bank’s bill pay service, make check payable to “Hope Chapel” at PO Box 125, Sterling, MA 01564. 100% of your donation supports the ministries at Hope.

What is SecureGive?
SecureGive is our trusted online giving platform. This online system allows you to use your card or checking account to give safely to Hope Chapel as well as to pay for retreats, camps, and mission trips.
Your information is safe and never given to anyone. Access to your giving records cannot be accessed by other members, staff, or pastors.
Why Do I have to create an account in SecureGive?
You don’t have to create an account in SecureGive. You can give “anonymously”. However, in order to receive a giving statement for your donations at the end of the year, you should create an account. Once you create an account, you can use the same login to give regularly.

How much of my gift goes to the church?
When you give in SecureGive, a small transaction and transfer fee is applied to your donation.
If you give through ACH, electronic transfer from your bank account, a small fee of $1.25 is taken from each transaction. Giving once a month would be better than a weekly donation.
If you give through your card, a transaction % is taken from your donation. Fees fluctuate based upon card used, ranging from 1-3% per transaction. Giving once a month would be better than a weekly donation.
Can I pay for retreats, camps, and mission trips?
Yes. You can pay for retreats, camps, and mission trips through SecureGive. Click on ‘Purchases’ and select the appropriate category. Your specific event may not be listed, but your payment will be applied to the appropriate event.
