The “Church” gets criticized all the time. Some of that is warranted for sure.  But I think we far too often overlook when the “Church” works.  I witnessed one of those moments last night.  I attended the Calling Hours for the parent of someone active at Hope.  This “Hope” person had been doing church right…regularly participating in worship, active in a small group gathering we call Life Group, and generally being plugged in.  And there was their Life Group… all present, being supportive and caring, and walking through the experience with them.  As I observed the whole experience I saw “church” as it is supposed to be:  a spiritual family committed to Christ and each other, walking through life together.  When we do it right, the church really does work and the blessings flow!
