Dr. Laura Garofoli is a professor of psychological science at Fitchburg State University, where she has been teaching courses in behavior and human development for 13 years. As an educational psychologist, licensed special educator, and parent to a food-allergic child, she is no stranger to the myriad challenges facing today’s children and families. Laura is committed to applying her expertise in child development, behavior, education, and food allergies to advocating for children and families. She has recently started a project aligning psychological research findings with biblical guidance on marriage and parenting in the hopes of publishing a book on the subject.

In her spare time, Dr. Garofoli loves spending time with her husband of 15 years and their eight-year-old son. She enjoys cooking, baking, reading, gardening, and laughing.
