Fostering Transformation

Life Groups are not just social gatherings. Life Groups are not just Bible Studies. They are a group of committed people with a common faith who come together to develop friendships, help one another know more about God, and make Him more known in our communities, families, and workplaces.

Life Groups often eat together, spend time studying the Bible, pray for one another, share and unpack life experiences, and serve the community with service projects or in church-wide outreaches.

Goals:

Exercising Care – “love one another”; “pray for one another”; “bearing one another’s burdens”

Fostering Transformation – “be transformed by the renewing of your mind”; “put off the old/put on the new”

Agreements:

Show Up, Join In, and Be Real – We will attend this group on time and make it a priority over other life events and schedules unless in emergency situations. We will be ready to participate and share in the group by coming prepared for the group study and by being honest and real about our faith and life.

Confidentiality and Respect – We will listen to what others say without giving advice unless requested. We will respect other people’s opinions and views. We will keep what is said in the group confidential unless further support is necessary by pastoral team.

Pursue God – We will allow this group to hold us accountable in our pursuit of God and in applying His truths to our daily living. This group is not only a gathering of friends, but a safe place to talk about our faith and pursue God in prayer, bible study, and personal application.

Bonus: Be the Church – We will pray, plan, and execute ways to show love to individuals, families, and others outside our group at least twice a year. We will also accept the responsibility to use our time, talents, and treasures to serve at and welcome others into our church community.
