Raising our children to love and follow Jesus Christ is our highest parenting priority. But most parents are woefully uninformed and unequipped in this area. They are leaving it all to the church. In this seminar, we want to inspire, encourage, exhort and equip the parents in this vital area of living the Christian life. Whether you have little ones or teenagers, this summit will address why and how you can start doing that now.

Chap Bettis

Chap Bettis is the author of The Disciple-Making Parent: Raising Your Children to Love and Follow Jesus Christ. He also is a frequent conference speaker and the executive director of the ministry with the same name.  His heart is to help parent show their children Jesus as as they disciple them in the faith.

For the previous 25 years, he was lead pastor in a New England church plant. As a pastor and father of four, Chap understands both the word of God and the everyday issues of family life.

In addition, Chap also wrote Parenting with Patience, Parenting with Confidence, The Donut Date Journal, Evangelism for the Tongue-Tied and The Fearless Apologetics Curriculum.

He and his wife Sharon, have four adult children and reside in Rhode Island. When he is not ministering the word, Chap likes cycling, college football, reading, and checking out Providence restaurants with his wife.

Parents, Grandparents, and Guardians of children and teenagers are all encouraged to be a part of this Parenting Summit. If you serve in children or youth ministries, you’ll also benefit. You’ll walk away encouraged, challenged, and equipped to do what God is calling you to be…a disciple-making parent.

What about my kids?

We understand that parents have kids so we want to make it easier for you to attend by providing childcare. Childcare will be available for children up to 5th grade. If you have little ones, it might be easier to hire a childcare provider at your house. If you need assistance in finding or paying for childcare, funding is available. Let us know during the registration process.
