After a long and fantastic weekend with 50 plus Students and 16 Chaperones. You would think that I would be tired and ready for a vacation. Our staff had prepared to be with over 700 other students this past weekend at YEC and we were ready. We had prayed for our students and for ourselves asking God to prepare our hearts to receive what He had in store for us.

We were not ready for the blessing he was going to pour out on to us. Just days before we left I ask the students to commit to praying for themselves and each other so that we would be ready to hear from God that weekend. Many of our students had been weighed down by the things in their world of School, social media, parent expectations and peer pressure just to name a few. We as a group offered these things to God, so that we could hear from Him.

We needed to be still. How many of us are so busy with the day to day that we have forgotten how to be still, so that we can hear from God? This weekend without noise and busyness “IE” phones and tech. Our students and staff heard from God in a mighty way. Four Students became Christ followers and many rededicated their lives to Christ and each other in accountability. To be in a room where each and every student and adult had a chance to pray for one another out loud is awesome!

From time to time I read a book called “The Valley Of Vision” when I am in need of a pick me up or a reminder. Here is a quote from that book “Thou hast shown me that, the sensible effusion of divine love in the soul are superior to and distinct from bodily health, and that oft-times spiritual comforts are at their highest when physical well-being is at its lowest.”

We are, tired but Blessed, weary but waiting for what is next. Our Students and Staff are so thankful for all of your prayers and support. Please continue to pray for us.

Take time this week to Pause, Be Still and Pray! God may be trying to show or tell you something!
